During the first meeting with a seller, the main question they want answered is how much their home is worth. A simple answer: whatever a buyer will be willing to pay.

When a real estate professional is hired to sell a home, the agent will gather a variety of information to find the correct price. Details taken into consideration include the prices of similar homes in the area that have recently sold (within the current market conditions), and the quality of the home. With certain key information identified, the price can be adjusted accordingly. After the price has been determined, the agent will make sure the seller’s home is in it’s best condition, at which point the house can then go to market. 

The best way to determine the price of a home is to ask a real estate professional. An essential part of an agent’s job is to determine the value of a home, making realtors the best resource for this very important task.
